Ministry of Education – DECFormation & AI for Open Learning

The Diack Research Lab and Digital Education Consulting (DEC) partner with the Ministry of Education of Senegal to deploy the DECFormation Initiative—a national program combining eLearning, AI, and open education. Through DECStudio and the Teranga-IA Network, the initiative builds educator capacity in AI-driven course design, avatar-based teaching, and multilingual content production.

  • Development of a national AI-ready learning ecosystem.
  • Research collaboration with the DEC Research Group (Southern University, USA).
  • Coordinated by the Ministry of Education, with support from MERLOT, SkillsCommons, and PhET.

Ministry of Health – NURA–Senegal Project: AI for Preventive Health Screening

The Senegal–NURA Cooperation Project brings together the Ministry of Health and Social Action, NURA (India), and the Diack Research Lab to establish Africa’s first AI-powered preventive health screening centers. The model—pioneered by Tata Group and Fujifilm—offers complete non-invasive health assessments in under 120 minutes.

  • 100,000 citizens screened (2025–2028) with AI diagnostics.
  • 500 healthcare agents trained and certified in preventive medicine.
  • Integration with Senegal’s DHIS2 national health data system.

Ministry of Armed Forces – AI & Digital Sovereignty Campaign

Invited by the Ministry of the Armed Forces, Prof. Moustapha Diack delivered a keynote during the Journée de l’Excellence under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Sovereignty: A Strategy for the Armed Forces and Education in Service of National Development.” To mark this event, he created multilingual awareness channels across Teranga-IA TV and DECFormation, promoting AI literacy, ethics, and digital sovereignty.
